EXIF Editor โ€” view, edit, and strip metadata in your browser

Open a photo, change the fields you want, then download. JPEGs process locally in your browser without uploading. Larger files and HEIC/TIFF fall back to a server pass that deletes the file the moment it's done.

No accounts. No tracking. JPEGs never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

Do my photos get uploaded?

JPEG files are edited entirely in your browser using the piexifjs library โ€” they never leave your device. HEIC, TIFF, and JPEGs over 20 MB fall back to our server because in-browser processing isn't reliable for those cases. When the server path is used, the file is deleted immediately after processing finishes. We don't keep copies and we don't have accounts.

Which fields can I edit?

Copyright and IPTC tab covers 25+ fields (copyright notice, credit, byline, headline, usage terms, licensor contact details, web statement, model release info). GPS tab handles latitude, longitude, altitude, and a one-click full GPS removal. Strip tab handles selective cleanup (GPS only, camera info only, timestamps only, full strip). All-fields tab shows every tag in the file for reference.

What's the difference between this and the GPS Editor / Metadata Remover?

The dedicated GPS Editor and Metadata Remover are single-purpose landing pages tuned for that one job. This unified Editor is the right choice when you need to do several things at once, or when you want all the IPTC copyright fields available in the same workspace.

Is this free?

Yes. Single-file editing is free forever. A future batch mode (process many files at once, ZIP output) will be a paid feature.
